J.D. Pincus, Ph.D.
Creator, AgileBrain Framework
J.D. is a behavioral scientist and the creator of AgileBrain, the first empirically validated framework to unify the full spectrum of human motivation into a single measurable model. For more than two decades he advised Fortune 500 companies on the emotional root causes of customer behavior, and everywhere he looked he found the same blind spot. Mountains of data describing what customers did, and almost nothing explaining why.
He synthesized more than 125 years of psychological research, from William James and Maslow to Bowlby, Erikson, and McClelland, into a model of twelve core emotional needs, validated with motivational data from more than 60,000 people across six nationally representative studies. He is the author of The Emotionally Agile Brain, has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed papers since 2022, and has been cited over 600 times. His expertise has led to testimony before multiple U.S. Federal and Congressional committees.
